Sue Miller-Harsin

A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1983, Sue specializes in women's issues, post-abortion, addictions and spirituality.  With her passion for rural Americans and her desire for people to find their purpose and live in joy, she will be leading the counseling team at the Upper Room. She has been in private practice for over 30 years in the Omaha area and is also is the owner of Unbridled Acres, an equine therapy program right here in Washington County.

 

She has an approach to therapy that is "cut to the chase" as life is short and time is valuable!

Sue is married to Darren with three grown sons and a growing herd of grandchildren. She has lived in the Blair area for nearly 30 years.

Kyle Mabus

LMHP, LPC, NCC

Kyle holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is a board certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors. Kyle works with individuals, couples and groups of all ages in the areas of communication, anger management, depression and anxiety. Kyle utilizes methods and techniques focused on self awareness and personal strength management. His passion is collaborating with individuals and families for parenting, youth behavior, and communication development.

As a devoted Christian Husband and Father, Kyle integrates faith based insight in his personal and professional life. Kyle has been active in faith community leadership for more than two decades.  He encourages others with support and prayer to find and utilize their individual, God given strengths. 

  

In addition to counseling practice, Kyle motivates others through public speaking engagements. He frequently offers seminars and retreats sharing practical application of established methodologies related to life regulation. He has an extensive background in business as well as social sciences. This fusion of experience enhances his ability to present systems approaches of emotional management.

Alexandra Madsen

Alexandra ("Alex") holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Grace University. Using a holistic approach to counseling, believing that the mind, body and spirit work in unison, Alex specializes in the areas of grief, anxiety, depression, life-transitions, stress, self-esteem, and work enjoyment. 

When Alex isn't busy helping others, she enjoy sunshine, beaches, traveling, and coffee. She loves her people and her pup, Bear. Alex finds great joy in learning about the lives of others.

  

Asked about Alex's approach to therapy, she states that, "I value cultivating a safe space for others to feel seen, heard, and known - I'm here to 'sit in the mud' with others as we journey together towards wholeness and a thriving life."
